The idea of creating an artwork of the Brazilian actor/singer Seu Jorge that would represent him through a portrait produced in my pop art style in pencil arose after seeing and feeling dissatisfied with the poster of the movie Marighella, where he portrays the protagonist of the plot.
For me, posters have always generated fascination and inspiration, especially those of movies from the 70s, 80s, and much of the 90s.
The artworks produced were masterpieces that practically played the role of today's trailers, as we imagined the scenes or created a sense of mystery while appreciating the art of that printed media.
Very well, inspired and with great enthusiasm, I produced this artwork, envisioning it as a basis for the poster design. Here, I was able to present adaptations of this idea both for the poster and for some modifications to campaign and award photos.
Since I was satisfied with the idea, why stop there?
Soon came to mind its use for fashion, images for LCD screens, stage backgroundfor the singer's performances, magazine cover, and of course, the CD cover and booklet.
